Complex Operating Models

Brock has experience working on large-scale (multi-million dollar) capital projects with complex operating models where there are many “parties” collectively working within one master schedule:

• End-User Project Manager (PM) or PM representative
• Consultants & Construction Engineers
• General Contractors
• Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), electricians, millwrights, HVAC, etc.
• Regulatory/Government Inspectors (various regulatory bodies)

The challenge with these projects is the automation controls and software are single points of failure, and are quite often the last items to be installed and commissioned, so any delays with earlier trades adds increased pressure to perform this scope on time.

Aware of these challenges, Brock minimizes the automation commissioning risk through a number of pre-planned activities executed early in the project. With this approach, the on-site commissioning time is often substantially reduced when compared to traditional methods.
