Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)

To decrease manufacturing costs, aerospace manufacturers look to automate existing manual processes. One such solution to achieve this result is the adoption of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).

Brock has implemented several AGV controls automation systems. We design, develop, and deploy Control & Indication (C&I) solutions that:

• Coordinate the automated movement of AGVs
• Position manufacturers with plant-wide performance monitoring

Our C&I Systems interface to a number of disparate control systems through standard OPC protocols, and effectively:

• Monitor Safe Passage signals from machines and work cells
• Collect, archive, trend, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for machines throughout plants
• Seamlessly connect to any ERP-system platform

To help minimize the risk and cost, we deploy a proof of concept and during the software development phase, we deploy I/O emulation to verify all the software functionality, including end-user factory acceptance testing, before the on-site commissioning.
