Audit” (MSA) is a documented assessment of a manufacturing Process,
and is conducted to determine if current factory processes will support business
and operational goals. The Audit involves interviewing key customer
stakeholder groups to determine the desired functionality of a new or
retrofitted process and potential areas for improvement. The findings and
recommendations of the Audit are then consolidated into a report that
includes a summary of the interview process, confirmation of findings, and
recommendations for a best-practices approach to meeting the customer’s stated
goals.
The interview process is focused on understanding
the customer’s functional requirements, and is positioned to:
- Comprehend current manufacturing interface
processes, systems, and shortcomings
- Identify potential obstacles to implementation
- Identify the target architecture
- Develop an implementation roadmap
